Amy Blakely
Amy Jean (Shepard) Blakely of Potosi was born February 12, 1972 in Festus, a daughter to Judith “Judy” Ann (Coleman) Shepard and the late Gary Blakely. Amy departed this life Thursday, August 12, 2021 having reached the age of 49 years and 6 months.
Amy is survived by her mother and step-father; Judy and Allen Shepard of Cadet; son, Dennis “D.J.” Blount and wife Kim of St. Louis; step-brother, Allen Shepard, Jr. of Columbia; uncle, Bernie Coleman; aunt, Dale Schultz and many other relatives and dear and special friends.
In addition to her father, Gary Blakely, Amy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ethel Villmer; grandfather, Bernard Coleman and cousin, Rusty Coleman.
Amy enjoyed shopping, gambling at the boat and playing the lottery. She loved her dogs Wally and Bally. Above all, Amy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with D.J. and his family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation for Amy was held Sunday, August 15th from 4-8 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
Funeral services for Amy were held Monday, August 16th at 11 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi with Fr. Tony Dattilo officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery in Old Mines. Serving as pallbearers were D.J. Blount, Allen Shepard Jr., Dennis Blount, Jimmy Morgan, Bob Fitzgerald and Jim Skiles.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
