SERVICES HELD

Brietz G. Halbert, son of the late Jeffersons and Sophrona Sanders Halbert, was born February 4, 1887, at Lonoke, Arkansas. He departed this life March 7, 1970, in the Washington County Memorial Hospital at Potosi. He was 83 years of age at the time of his death.

Mr. Halbert was united in marriage to Pearl Wilkinson on February 4, 1911. who preceded him in death in July 1963. No children were born to this union.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Marler Chapel Methodist Church.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Leona Farrell of Belgrade; three brothers, Fritz Halbert of Route 2, Potosi; Earl and Harvey Halbert of Route 1, Belgrade; one sister-in-law, Hallie Halbert of Belgrade, and a host of nieces and nephews. One sister, Della Johnston, also preceded him in death in 1942.

Services were conducted at the Marler Chapel Methodist Church on Monday, March 9, at 2 P.M. with Rev. Wesley Thomas officiating. Interment was in the Marler Chapel Cemetery with Don Spark Funeral Home in charge of all the arrangements.
