From April 13, 1950 Edition.. LULA A. EVANS CHANDLER

Lula Anna Evans Chandler was born May 2, 1879 and united in holy matrimony to Israel Shelton Chandler in 1896. To this union 13 children were born. Her husband and 8 children preceded her in death. Five children are living: Halic, Levi, Lark and Allie Gilliam all of St. Louis and Charley of Huzzah. She is survived also by 27 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host fo other relatives.

She professed faith in Christ in 1904 and was baptized into the Shoal Creek Baptist Church and lived a devoted christian life.

She died on March 12, 1950, at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 10 days.

Funeral services were conducted by Eld. Chancy McKinnon at Shoal Creek Baptist Church on March 14. Burial was in the church cemetery by Sparks Funeral Home.
