Thelma Claudine Blair

Thelma Claudine Blair, born on March 1, 1937, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Paul J. Hawkins and Latta (Compton) Hawkins.
Thelma will be fondly remembered for her many passions. She enjoyed painting, especially water oil painting, and loved sewing, quilting, and crocheting. Her vegetable garden and flower beds were a source of joy for her, where she spent many happy hours tending to her plants. Thelma was a proud member of Lakewood Missionary Baptist Church for many years and cherished her family deeply.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Blair, her daughter, Cathy Hopkins, her infant sister, Betty Jane Hawkins, and five siblings, Ward Paul Hawkins, Stanley Hawkins, Obie Hawkins, Norma Banning, and Delores Henry.
She is survived by her two sons, Andy Blair and his wife Lori, and Lon Paul Blair and his wife Shelly; her two daughters, Vicki Cochrane, and Mandy Blair. Thelma is also remembered by her grandchildren, Jared, Carrie, Justin, Bradley, Kylie, Morgan, and Paxton, as well as three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other dear family members.
Thelma Claudine Blair will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
