Marcella Marie Skaggs

Marcella Marie Skaggs was born on September 7, 1971 in Blackwell. She departed from this life on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at the age of 53.
Marcella was the cherished daughter of the late Francis and Janet (Courtway) Dobbs. She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Reagan, and five siblings, Clyde "Butch" Dobbs, Michael "Boze" Courtway, Francis Dobbs, Larry Courtway, and Rachael Freeman.
She is survived by husband, Bill Skaggs and her daughter, Courtney Dobbs. Marcella found great joy in the lives of her four grandchildren, Hunter, Alexis, Ryder and Serenity. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Mona Lesa Dobbs, Virginia Bannister (husband, Jeffery), Moralee Dobbs, Rose Dobbs, Naymond Dobbs, Frankie Dobbs, William Dobbs Jr., Marvin Dobbs and Ruby Bell. She was further blessed by the love of her mother-in-law, Iva Kemper, along with many nieces, nephews, and several cousins.
A woman of simple pleasures, Marcella enjoyed fishing and took great pride in her rose bushes and vegetable garden. She loved working outdoors, riding in the side by side with Bill and her grandbabies, and spending time with her family.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M., followed by a funeral service at 2 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home. Interment and final prayers followed at the Skaggs Family Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
