Glen Dewane Johnson

Glen Dewane Johnson of Potosi was born on February 20, 1973, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the age of 52. He was the son of the late Gerthal and Loetta Johnson. Glen was known for his fun-loving spirit and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed watching wrestling and was a collector of movies. He enjoyed walking and had a special appreciation for John Wayne films, earning him the nickname "Dukie" during his childhood.
Glen is survived by seven siblings, Patricia Kay Gotto and her husband David, Deatra "Dee Dee" Bailey, Vanessa McNail and her husband Richard, Billy Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Joshua Johnson, and Rockie Johnson. He is also survived by two bonus siblings, Bridget Sansoucie and Joey Sansoucie; brother-in-law, Bill (Betty) James, sister-in-law, Melissa Johnson, and a special niece and caregiver, Rebecca Wall. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Gerthal and Loetta Johnson. He is also predeceased by six siblings, Loeta James, Len (Carol) Johnson, Robert (Connie) Johnson, Sharon Salsman and her husband Jackie, Clifford Johnson, and Danielle Johnson. Glen was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bob Bailey, and nephews, Davey Rennick, Robert Johnson Jr., Johnny Johnson, and Eric Johnson.
Visitation services for Glen were held at DeClue Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 21st from 5 to 8 P.M. A second visitation followed on Thursday, May 22nd from 10 A.M. until the time of his funeral service at 11 A.M. with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating. Interment and final prayers were held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. Glen will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Glen's funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
