Carolyn Hedrick

Carolyn Ruth Hedrick, 60, of Oklahoma City passed from this life on March 15th, 2025. She was born January 3, 1965, in Potosi, to Lawrence and Patricia (Laws) Hedrick.
Carolyn loved listening to music and singing karaoke. Crafting, especially with the ladies at her church, brought her much joy. She frequently watched the Hallmark Channel and enjoyed watching The Waltons. Her favorite movies were The Grinch and Scrooge.
One of the many life lessons she passed onto her kids was the knowledge of cooking. One of her specialties was cooking Mexican dishes for all to enjoy. She also took great pleasure in traveling.
She was employed by the Oklahoma State Extension Office as a 4H leader through the Oak Grove Community Center and adored doing activities with the kids. She particularly enjoyed cooking for them.
It brought her great joy to help anyone in need. Carolyn was described as a kind, loving, person with a large heart, someone with a great sense of humor, and outgoing. She was a hard worker, good homemaker, and always provided for her family.
Carolyn’s first love was spending time with her family and friends, and she absolutely adored spending time with her family. A loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Carolyn touched the lives of many with her zest for life.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Patrick Zapata – Hedrick and Heather of Oklahoma City, Delbert Hedrick of Maine, Lucero Alleman and John of Oklahoma City, and Lydia Salas and Adam of Oklahoma City, as well as ten grandchildren.
Carolyn was deeply loved and will be severely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Visitation was from 12-2 p.m., prior to the service at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, Moore, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
