Leonard Guy Link, born on March 20, 1958, a son to the late Leonard Link and Vergelene (Sparks) Link. Leonard passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at the age of 66. He was a man whose life was defined by his dedication to his work and love for his family and hobbies.
Leonard spent 27 years working as a bottle maker at Flat River Glass, showcasing his steadfast commitment to his craft. In a career transition that showcased his versatility, he later became a barber at Farmington Barber Shop, where he continued to touch the lives of those who visited him for haircuts and companionship.
Leonard had a passionate spirit. He loved to work and found great joy from riding anything with a motor, from dirt bikes, to four-wheelers, to jeeps, or motorcycles. His adventurous nature also led him to enjoy camping and traveling, with a particular fondness for the scenic landscapes of Arizona. In his leisure time, he found joy in tinkering with remote-controlled cars, a hobby that reflected his playful and inquisitive character.
Leonard leaves behind his son, Chad Link, and daughter-in-law, Taylor. His grandchildren, Ethan, Issac, Kaden, Colton, and Maycee who, all had a special place in his heart. He is also survived by his siblings, Eddie Link (wife, Belinda) and Rita Bone; his loving companion, Diane Jenkins; as well as extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Vergelene Link, and his first wife and mother of his son, Connie Link; and his second wife, Tammy Link.
A time of visitation was held on Monday, December 30th from 4:30 p.m. until the time of his memorial service at 7 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home. Leonard's warmth, humor, and enthusiasm will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
