V.F.W. Post 6996 Cancels Christmas Dinner

Washington County Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6996 and the VFW Post 6996 Auxiliary are announcing the cancellation, for this year, of the annual Community Christmas Dinner. 

Post Commander Jeff Higginbotham said, “We regret having to make this decision but believe it is the prudent action to take during the current pandemic.

There is not enough space for the public to safely gather at the Post. We also don’t see a way to follow both the health guidelines and still be able to safely assemble the number of workers required to be in close proximity of each other while preparing and serving the meals.

We sincerely apologize for having to cancel this year’s Dinner.”

The V.F.W. hopes everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year.
