Entered into rest on January 15th, 2025 at the age of 95. Loving wife of 60 years to the late Arthur Price Evans, Jr., beloved mom of Dennis Arthur Evans (wife Carol) of St. Peters, cherished grandma of Christine Lynne (Evans) Nelson (husband Kyle) of Burnside, Illinois, Diane Lee Evans of St. Peters, and David Arthur Evans (wife Hayden) of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, beloved great grandma of Tate Price Evans of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, baby Nelson expected in March of Burnside, Illinois , the late Asher and the late Bennett Nelson., dear aunt of Gary Haeusler (wife Sharon) of Lakeland, Florida and Patricia "Pat" Govero (husband Chad) of Potosi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Carter Callahan and Nancy Lee Callahan, her siblings Bertha Walls, Mary Call, Jonathan Edward Callahan, and Leonard Callahan.
Anna was a housewife and took care of her husband Arthur and son Dennis. She loved her family, especially her grandkids. She was the primary care giver to her husband for years until his dementia and her health caused it to become too much for her. Anna has been described as a "sweet lady" by those that knew her. She loved word search puzzles and sweets, especially cookies or candy.
Anna was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church Potosi; First Christian Church (DC), Festus and Fairview Christian Church, Festus.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd from 5-8 p.m., and the funeral service the following day on Friday, January 24th at 10:30 a.m. - Both at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral Home. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Anna's name may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Potosi.
