Amanda Reeve

Born on May 6th, 1985, in St. Louis, Amanda’s life was one filled with the joys of discovery and the warmth of familial bonds. She grew up in a loving home with her parents, Tammy Boyer Woods and Ron Reeve Sr., and her siblings, Sondra Hayes, Jessica Valentine, and Ronnie Reeve Jr., all of whom inspired her playful spirit and nurtured her artistic talents. 
 Amanda’s infectious laughter and boundless creativity were her hallmarks, and traits that she generously shared with her two adored daughters, Julianne and Kelsey Reeve. Her engaging artwork and love for being outdoors with her family were the purest expressions of Amanda’s inner joy. Those fortunate enough to have known Amanda will forever remember her as the heart of everything gathering, a wellspring of clever wit and imagination. 
 Amanda’s generous heart and spirit of giving shaped her relationships and the way she navigated the world. The words “loving, funny, and creative” are but a summary of a soul that exuded much more, touching lives far and wide with her gentle kindness and quick smile. She had the precious ability to see beauty in the mundane and encouraged others to do the same with every brushstroke she placed on the canvas, and every kind deed she performed. Amanda had a heart for not only art, but also reading, finding joy in every adventure she could. 
 Finding true companionship and love, Amanda was engaged to be married to Ross “Chip” Bay, the man who matched her zest for life and stood beside her, sharing dreams of their future together. The time they spent as a family was cherished, as they forged precious memories that will not be held close a reminder of their time together. 
 Amanda’s departure is a profound loss to her family, friends, and community, yet her essence will not be confined to the past. Her memory acts as a beacon of joy and love, encouraging all who loved her to embrace life as fully as she did. 
 Amanda’s memory is also honored by a league of other relatives, her fiancé Ross “Chip” Bay; sister and brother-in-law Sondra and Tommy Hays, sister and brother in law Jessica and Kristian Valentine; brother Ronnie Reeve Jr.; soon to be in laws Pete and Stacy Bay Thebeau; two soon to be brothers in laws, Peter Thebeau and wife Danielle, Matthew Bay and wife Kenni, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her guidance and playful spirit. 
 As the day concludes and the stars appear, it is apt to imagine Amanda amidst them, sparkling with her characteristic brightness, reminding us to cherish the simple pleasures of life, much like she cherished time outside with her girls and fiancé, “Chip”.
Amanda’s story does not end here; it continues in the laughter of her daughters, the beauty of her art, and the fond memories shared by all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. While her physical presence will be dearly missed, her spirit remains an indelible part of the hearts she touched. 
Her absence leaves an indelible void in the Reeve family, as Amanda is also proceeded in death by her much-missed aunts, Helen Courtaway and Cathy Cross, her grandparents, Timothy and Catherine Boyer, as well as Arthur and Grace Reeve. Each of them played a significant part in the tapestry of her life. 
Amanda, a beloved mother, fiancé, daughter, and sister, with her untimely departure, leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity that will continue to resonate with all who knew her.
Visitation for Amanda was held Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi with a memorial service beginning at 1 P.M. the same day with Pastor Jason Gaszak officiating. 
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
