Patricia Ann Blair, affectionately known as Patsy, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on April 9, 1940, in Potosi, she was a beloved daughter to Fred Richards and Louise (Smith) Richards.
Patsy is remembered for her joyous spirit and love for her family. She took great pride in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Her daughter, Judy Vance, and son-in-law, Jeff, along with her five grandchildren—Chris Vance, Timmarie Bowles (husband, Bo), Will Dickey, Josh Stringer (wife, Brittany), and Caitlin Gibson (husband, Tony)—were sources of great joy in her life. Additionally, Patsy delighted in the company of her nine great-grandchildren: Landon, Lucas, Brooklyn, Blake, Libbie, Crue, Blake, Kobe, and Mia. Patsy also leaves behind her siblings: Evelyn Lampkey and Larry Richards (wife, Sue); step-sisters, Sandy Cunningham and Vickie Seligman; as well as a special niece, Kelly Knight, a special nephew, Greg Carter, and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dorman Blair; her daughter, Donna Stringer; her sister, Carol (Richards) Carter; and step-brother, Randy Richards.
Patsy’s hobbies reflected her personality. She had a heartfelt passion for cooking, especially during family gatherings and the holiday season. Moreover, she treasured the moments spent playing and laughing with her grandbabies, creating lasting memories that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A graveside service to honor Patsy was held Monday, November 18th at 10:45 A.M. at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
