Gary Eckhoff

Gary "Had" Eckhoff of Cadet was born on November 9, 1957, in Cadet. Gary departed this life on October 4, 2024. He was a dedicated individual, well-known for his hard work and the joy he brought to those around him. Gary led a life filled with passions; he found pleasure in riding four-wheelers, fishing, collecting and refurbishing furniture, and gardening.
His family and friends remember him fondly as someone who valued relationships deeply. He is survived by his brother, Mike Eckhoff; sister-in-law, Theresa Eckhoff; and several young relatives, including nieces and nephews, Jo Ann Cain and husband John, Larry Eckhoff and wife Denise, Judy Coleman and husband Greg, Donald Eckhoff and friend Beth, Ronnie Eckhoff and wife Sandy, and Barbara Ross and husband Joe. In addition, he is remembered by his special friend, Evelyn Stuart, and daughters, Jennifer Pratt and Jennifer Brown.
Gary was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jesse and Ellen Eckhoff; brothers, Jesse Eckhoff and Willard Eckhoff, as well as his sisters, Lilly Pidcock, Mandy Missey, and Margie Jackson.
Gary's legacy of hard work, friendship, and family will be cherished by all who knew him.
Visitation for Gary was held Friday, October 11th from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Funeral services were held the same day at 1 P.M. with Pastor Lloyd Pierce officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at Barlow Cemetery in Cadet. Serving as pallbearers were Jesse Kathcart, Jason Kathcart, Traves Kathcart, Austin Kathcart, D.J. Eckhoff and Dennis Emily. 
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
