Rescheduled – 17th Annual . . . Sgt. Austin ‘Ozzie’ Pratt Memorial Wiffleball Tourney Sat. & Sun., Oct. 19 & 20
September 26, 2024
Austin Pratt
The family and friends of Austin Pratt have again planned the Annual Wiffleball Tournament that is held in his honor and memory each year.
This year the two day tournament is planned for Saturday, Oct. 19th and Sunday, Oct. 20th in Old Mines (Racola) at the ball field on Hwy. 21.
The Austin ‘Ozzie’ Pratt Memorial Wiffleball Tournament began as a way to honor Sgt. Austin Pratt, who was killed in Afghanistan on December 15, 2007.
Austin loved baseball and loved playing in wiffleball tournaments with his cousins. The first year’s tournament was a great success and his family and friends decided to continue each year with this memorial tournament.
Austin was a much loved and giving young man who enriched the lives of all those he came in contact with during his life.
Each year the proceeds from the tournament is donated to a worthy cause in Austin’s name.
This year the tournament proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project and Tunnels to Towers.
The family is proud to continue to remember Austin and share his pride of his Country and his service.
Donations and support are lovingly accepted and passed along from the tournament. The family and friends are proud for Austin, ‘Ozzie’, to continue to help and support others even in his passing.
Donations and sponsorships are welcomed and appreciated as the family will pass along the funds raised to a worthy cause.
Stop by Mose Memorial Field and visit and watch some wiffleball during the tournament weekend.
