9/11 Patriot Day
September 11, 2024
by Kris Richards
‘We will always remember’ the tragedies of September 11th, 2001. As each year goes by, we reflect on what happened, where we were, and the reaction and action of our country and the people of America.
We have a wide variety of memories from that day. Everyone that does remember, can think of where they were at when they heard the story, first and then more and more as the day went on.
We saw a lot of what happened that day on television. Many were watching as planes hit the buildings and crashed at the Pentagon. The story of the flight that was taken over by the passengers was one of the final to be told as details became real.
Let us never forget the civilians and emergency personnel that lost their lives as terrorists attacked the American way of life.
Take a moment next Wednesday, September 11th, remember the fallen, and thank those who rush to protect and serve as accidents and tragedies happen every day.
The unity that the country felt after an attack from ‘outside’ on our soil lasted for some time. It was a great time to fly the Flag and be an American.
Wish we could all remember that during this day and time.
We now have a couple of generations that may only hear the story and not remember the deed. Share your story with those that are younger, or may not remember.
Never forget.
