8TH ANNUAL - 4th For State . . . RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS IN STATE OF MISSOURI!
August 28, 2024
This is the fourth year for Missouri’s Officially Recognized Day –
August 31st is Random Acts of Kindness Day!
This is a proclaimed holiday in Washington County, and also in the State of Missouri since 2021, created in honor of suicide and depression awareness.
Every citizen is encouraged to do some sort of random act of kindness on this day, whether it be something small, such as carrying someone’s groceries for them or even paying for someone’s food in the drive-thru. This is a wonderful way to encouraging others!
Be creative and let’s come together as a community! You may never know if this one act of kindness prevented someone from making a choice that they cannot take back. Please join us in a random act of kindness on August 31st!
Depression is an illness and people are learning that people have to speak up. Watch for warning signs, conversation is a must - get everyone talking.
This day is marked in memory of everyone in our community and the State of Missouri has lost to this terrible disease!
Doing a good deed is good for both the receiver and the giver! Your kindness could just happen to save someone’s life and give them hope.
Any questions, please call Lela Thompson at 573-854-3456.
