Have You Seen This Woman? Missing Since Last Week In Shirley Area

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department put a notice out last Friday, Jan. 12th, 2024 through social media platforms that Donna Janine (Cross) Eye had been reported missing and a search was begun in the Shirley School Road area, off Highway 8, West of Potosi.

Several agencies, individual volunteers and groups spent hours on Friday, the 12th, in the area where Ms. Eye had been last seen.

The Washington County Sheriff, Zach Jacobsen, said on Monday, Jan. 15th, that the search continued, with family and volunteers out in the area.

The Sheriff said he was able to activate the Major Case Squad due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

The missing woman, 44 years old, had been at the hospital and received a ride from a Deputy to the Shirley School Road area on Monday night, January 8th.

A bag identified as Ms. Eye’s was found in the area but no other trace was found at that time.

The search continues and anyone with any information should contact Washington County 9-1-1 or the Sheriff’s Department at 573-438-5478. The family continues to hope for a good outcome and have expressed all prayers and support are appreciated.
