Anna Fay Smith-Craft, of Potosi passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 13th, 2023. She was born on March 5th, 1950, in St. Louis to the late Tillman Clapp, Sr. and Marie (Parsons) Courtois. Anna reached the age of 73 years.

Anna worked as a loan officer in the banking industry where she made a lasting impression with her colleagues and clients. She was known for her hard work, integrity, and commitment to excellence. Her dedication to her work inspired many of her co-workers.

Outside of work, Anna had an array of hobbies that kept her busy and happy. She enjoyed camping, tending to flower gardens, fishing, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Anna had a warm heart and contagious smile that could light up the room. Her personality was one of love, kindness, and caring for others. Throughout her life she remained a pillar for those around her.

Anna’s proudest accomplishment was being a mother to three children, Gary Smith Jr. (Valarie), Tina Pearson (Eric), and Tanya Cochran (Adam); as well as being a grandmother to eight grandchildren, Gary III, Gabe, Morgan, Madison, Layna, Kaiden, Kenzie, and Kyler. She was also a great-grandmother of three, Penelope, Lucy, and Porter and dear sister to Ronnie Clapp.

Anna has been reunited with those who went before her; her parents, sisters, Donna Clapp and Bonnie Clapp; brothers, Donnie Clapp, Tillman Clapp Jr., Lonnie Clapp, Dennis Clapp, and John Jeffery Clapp; husbands, Gary Smith, Sr. and Robert Craft, Jr. who she loved dearly.  

A visitation was held from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Tuesday, May 16th at Moore Funeral Homes. A funeral service was held at 1 P.M. Anna was laid to rest in Hopewell Cemetery. Pallbearers were Adam Cochran, Kaiden Cochran, Eric Pearson, Gabe Smith, Greg Moyers, Gary Smith Jr., and Lonnie Clapp.
Anna was a remarkable woman who touched many lives in a positive way. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and the community she served.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Serenity Hospice at 5272 Flat River Road Park Hills, MO 63601. All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
