David Boyer, Kingston Student Is State Champ Headed To Utah To Participate In Nationals
REPRESENTING K-14 & STATE OF MISSOURI
David Boyer, an 8th grade student at Kingston K-14, had an outstanding day at the Missouri State Archery Championship in Branson, Missouri held on March 18th. David, who had a good year participating in the 3D archery events through Kingston's Archery Team, stepped up and shot a 287 out of 300.
David won the NASP 2022-23 State Championship in the boys' division for Junior High. He was among 5,300 archers that participated at Branson in grades 4 to 12.
The win qualified David to shoot at the National Championships that will be held in Sandy, Utah on April 28th and 29th, 2023.
David and his family are thrilled to represent the area, as well as representing the State of Missouri at the National Shoot. The school district does not officially sponsor archery as sport so funding is always an issue for the team. David's family has been fund raising some for the trip and said, "We really have had great comments and support and some people have come forward to help with the trip."
