Janet Leiwe

Janet Leiwe of Ironton was born January 8, 1943 in Chaffee, a daughter to the late Claude J. and Violet (Goodwin) Kinder. Janet departed this life Monday, March 13, 2023 having reached the age of 80 years, 2 months and 5 days.
On February 14, 1986, Janet was united in marriage to the late Mark Kenneth Leiwe and they lovingly shared almost 20 years together. Mark preceded Janet in death on January 11, 2006.
Those left to carry on her loving memory include her sons, Douglas Sansoucie and wife Stacy of Ironton, Rick Sansoucie and wife Pam of Fenton; daughter, Janet Cain and Randy Dicus of Potosi; brother, Robert Kinder and wife Sylvia of Alabama; 13 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren in addition to nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear and special friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mark, Janet was preceded in death by her son, Mike Sansoucie.
Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and beloved friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed spending precious time with her family and was always ready to try new things. She was the number one fan of her grandchildren and cheered them on in all that they did. Although she has gone to her heavenly home her memory will continue to bring smiles and warmth to those who loved her.
Visitation for Janet was held Wednesday, March 15th from 4 to 8 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Visitation resumed Thursday, March 16th from 9 to 11 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 16th at 11 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Bryce Wilson officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi. Serving as pallbearers were Bill Dwyer, Randy Dicus, Jason Coale, Lane Bates, Michael Pickett and Kenneth Pickett.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
