Leonora “Snooks” Huitt of Bismarck was born on July 22, 1927 to the late Edmond Max and Lulu (Hicks) Rieffer. Leonora enjoyed quilting, yard work and gardening and enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her friends and family, she was also the leader of the 4-H group. Leonora was preceded in death by her husband, Linus Grant Huitt, brother, Kenneth Rieffer, sisters, Velvie (the late Bud) Baldwin, Betty Rieffer and Henrietta (the late Charles) Holt, granddaughter, Amy Michelle and a great granddaughter, Sarah Sater.

Leonora passed away in Pilot Knob on March 4, 2023, at the age of 95 years 7 months and 12 days.

She was survived by her sons, Cecil and his wife Beth Huitt and Roy and his wife Linda Huitt; daughters Patricia (the late Roy) Helvey, Freida Cole and Jean Lindsey; brother Edgar and his wife Alice Rieffer; sister Edna (the late Vance) Greene; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren along with many friends and family.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 7th from 4 to 8 P.M. with a funeral service on Wednesday, March 8th at 11 A.M. in the Coplin Family Funeral Home of Bismarck. Pastor Beth Allen officiated the service.  Interment followed in the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery in Caledonia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bismarck United Methodist Church, P.O.
