Mary Paternilla (Boyer) Pratt of Cadet was born October 8, 1939 in Cadet, a daughter to the late Claude Boyer and Agatha Velma (Thebeau) Boyer. Mary departed this life Friday, February 24, 2023 having reached the age of 83 years 4 months and 16 days.
On June 29, 1957, Mary was united in marriage to the late Michael J. Pratt and they were blessed with over 60 years together.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Susan Broombaugh and husband Jimmy of Potosi, Mary J. Wright and husband Bob of Rising Sun, MA; sons, Michael E. Pratt and wife Valeria of Potosi, Dan Pratt and wife Dorothy of Visalia, CA; sisters-in-law, Delores DeClue and husband Joe of Potosi, Rebecca Rogers and husband Jerry of Potosi , Mary Gassner of Saint Louis, Maggie Schellabarger and husband Carl of Potosi, Jackie Daughtery and husband John of St.Clair, Leslie Evers and husband Larry of St.Clair, Laney Boyer of Potosi and JoAnn Boyer of High Ridge; brother-in-law, David Pratt and wife Monica of Cadet; 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren ,grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Pratt; sisters, Cyrilla Boyer and Veronica Juliette; brothers, Paul Boyer, James Boyer and Clifford Boyer.
Mary was servant hearted and dedicated her time to helping others. She was a faithful member of St. Joachim Catholic Church and help with many church functions. She lovingly kept friends and family in her thoughts and prayers, always putting others before herself. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
Visitation for Mary was held Tuesday, February 28th from 4 to 8 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Visitation resumed Wednesday, March 1st from 8:30 to 9:45 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 1st at 10 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Potosi with Father Rodger Fleming officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Michael E. Pratt, Daniel “Dan” Pratt, Nik Pratt, Joe Pratt, Joshua Mathis, Jake Mathis, Jeremy Mathis, Christopher Mathis, and Iia Pratt.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
