Anita Mae Gorman

Anita Mae Gorman of Caledonia was born on March 31, 1930, in Banner, a daughter of the late Oscar Lee Hopkins and Carrie (Daring) Hopkins.  Anita passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, having reached the age of 92.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her daughter, Fern Schalk (husband, Dale); grandchildren, Crystal Masson (husband, Bradley), Katie Schalk, Tiffani Filippi (husband, Tyler); great-grandchildren, Mariah Masson (fiance, Preston Olinger) Briley Masson, Brett Masson; and dear friend, Dr. William McKinney. Anita is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd  "Sonny" Edgar Gorman; daughter, Veronica Lynn Gorman; granddaughter, Angela Schalk; and siblings, William "Bill" Hopkins, Leona Hill, and Sarah McEntyre.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 6th from 11 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 1 p.m.  Interment followed in the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery.
