Stephen “Steve” Kramer
Stephen “Steve” Kramer left this life and walked through the Pearly Gates of Heaven Monday, January 23, 2023, in his home with his children and his niece at his bedside. Steve was born June 25, 1953, to the late Joe and Cecelia Kramer. Steve attended St. John Apostle Catholic Church in Bismarck, with his brother, Danny, when his health permitted. He spent the majority of his adult life as an over the road truck driver. He greatly enjoyed the open road and traveling through the states. He came home with some of the best stories and tales of the wild. He had a tremendous love of music and even played electric guitar in his younger years. His greatest past time, however, was walking the woods and creek beds of Richwoods, his childhood home. Some of his greatest memories were made in Richwoods, with his siblings and his cousins Carol Husky and Bobby Joe Gidden, among others. He had a love of all things nature. He enjoyed shooting guns and just breathing the fresh air of the outdoors. His greatest love of all time was spending time with his family. Steve had a very loving and compassionate heart and was generous to a fault.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Sandy, as well as his brothers Charles and Robert Kramer.
Steve is survived by his children, Tracy (husband Chad) Burns, Alicia (husband John) Hayes and James “Bobby Joe” (wife Nichole) Kramer, all of Park Hills; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and seven siblings, Betty (husband Dave) Ragsdale, Danny (wife Peggy) Kramer, Mike (wife Vida) Kramer, Teresa (husband Wayne) Johnson, Karl (wife Debbie) Kramer, Brenda (husband Jim) Dalton, and Ruby (husband John) Hatridge; and very close niece Laura (husband Chad) Wade. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews, which he was very proud of. He will be greatly missed by all that had the honor to know him.
Visitation was held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Friday, January 27th at 9 A.M. for family and public visitation at 10 A.M. The service, led by Deacon Mike Burch, commenced at 1 P.M. Steve was laid in his final resting place, next to his loving wife, Sandy, at Layne Cemetery in Park Hills.
