37th Annual Lady Rebel Christmas Tourney Dec. 26-30

The Park Hills Central Lady Rebels hosted the eight team 37th annual Lady Rebel Christmas Tournament Monday, December 26th thru Friday, December 30th at the T.J. Foulon Field House, Park Hills.

The Varsity Lady Trojans lost 50-35 to Fredericktown in the opening round of the Tournament with Trojan Stat leaders Kaydence Gibson-9 points, Emily Hochstatter-9 points and Paige West-9 points.

Moving to the Consolation Bracket, the Trojans beat Ste. Gen 49-39 moving them on to the 5th Place game against the Festus Tigers. The Stat leaders were Kaydence Gibson-13 points, Emily Hochstatter-11 points and Nora Henry-10 points.

The Lady Trojans beat Festus 45-40 in the Consoloation Championship with stat leaders Emily Hochstatter-15 points and Paige West-14 points. The win improves their overall record to 8-3. 

Overall Tournament Details

Four games were played Monday, December 26th as follows:

Fourth-Seeded Steelville faced Festus, picked fifth at 11:30 a.m. Steelville beat Festus 65-53. Next up was host Central, second choice, versus seventh placed Ste. Gen at 1 p.m. Central won 71-26; at 1 p.m. in the Practice Gym the match up was between first ranked South Iron and eighth seeded Arcadia Valley. South Iron won easily 73-44. Rounding out opening play was the Potosi Lady Trojans seeded third and sixth picked Fredericktown at 2:30 p.m. Fredericktown prevailed over Potosi 50-35.

Tuesday, December 27th the move was to the Consolation Bracket for Fifth Place at 10 a.m. where Arcadia Valley fell to Festus 60-45 and 11:30 a.m. Potosi won over Ste. Gen. 49-38. The Final was played Friday, December 30th at 10:30 a.m. matching Potosi and Festus. Potosi won 45-40.

Semi-Final Action was at 1 and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 28th. At 1 p.m. South Iron beat Steelville 61-35 and at 2:30 p.m. Fredericktown edged out host Central 45-43.

Third Place was decided at 3 p.m. Friday, December 30th where host Central topped Steelville 62-30.

The Championship Final was played at 6 p.m. with First Seed South Iron soundly defeating Sixth Choice Fredericktown 59-42.
