Kenneth Wayne Stringer, known by friends and family as “Buck”, was born April 9, 1961 in Mineral Point, a son to the late Herbert Leroy Stringer and Loverta Mae (Politte) Stringer. Buck departed this life Tuesday, December 6, 2022 having reached the age of 61 years, 7 months and 27 days.
On April 9, 1992 Buck was united in marriage to Brenda Coleman and they shared many years together.
Those left to cherish his memory include is loving wife, Brenda of Potosi; daughter, Misty Bourbon and husband Derrick of Potosi; sons, Dan Yutzy and wife Shirley of Union, Brian Hollinsworth of Potosi, Colt Farris and wife Briana of Bixby, Michael Farris of Bourbon; sisters, Belinda Politte and husband Lester of Potosi, Melinda Caruthers of Potosi; brothers, Richard Stringer and wife Vicky of Mineral Point, Marty Stringer of Mineral Point; brothers-in-law, Bruce Coleman and wife Cindy of Kirkwood, Richard Coleman and wife Lita of Arnold; grandchildren Abi, Taylor, Makayla, Colby, Lindsay, Harmony, Bree, Sophie, Dex, Cam; great grandchildren, Kindal, Kinsley, Dixie and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Stringer; sisters-in-law, Donna Stringer, Marsha “Lorraine” Stringer and Mary Kley.
Buck was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and followed them from spring training to the end of the season. He also enjoyed playing cards and spoiling his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for Buck was held Friday, December 9th from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 9th at 2 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Adams officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Potosi. Serving as pallbearers were Colt Farris, Marty Stringer, Richard Stringer, Josh Stringer, Timmy Brewer, Rick Coleman and Les Politte.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
