Richwoods R-7 School Returns to Distance Learning Thursday, Nov. 12th, 2020

November 12, 2020

Richwoods School sent home a letter with students on Wednesday, Nov. 11th, 2020. On the school’s website the announcement was placed, “We received word that an individual at the Richwoods R-VII School District has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was last on campus on Monday, November 9. We are coordinating our efforts with the Washington County Health Department to promptly identify and monitor individuals who have had recent close contact with the COVID-19 positive individual to prevent further spread. Due to this individual having contact with multiple grade levels in our school, we must close the school at this time. We have made the decision to return to distance learning through the Thanksgiving holiday and the following week to allow families, students, and staff time to monitor for symptoms. We will return to in-person learning for students on Monday, December 7, 2020.
