New Emergency Medical Director Named At Washington County Memorial Hospital Dr. Adewumi Is New E. M. Director

Potosi – Washington County Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce Dr. Adewumi as the new Emergency Medical Director.

Dr. Adewumi has 5 years of Emergency Department Medical Director experience. Dr. Adewumi earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA in 2001.

A few of Dr. Adewumi’s responsibilities as Director will be:

- Acts as a liaison with the hospital medical staff, administration, and emergency department staff to assure support of department

- Interact with ancillary services (lab/x-ray, nursing, respiratory therapy, medical records) to insure efficient workflow between emergency department and these services

- Facilitate and advise Providers regarding quality patient care

- Facilitate and advise Providers regarding good public relations with Hospital Medical Staff and the patient community

- Attend meetings pertinent to the operation of Emergency Department and other appropriate staff meetings

- Participate in Quality Improvement Processes

- Ensure Quality of Patient Care
