St. Joachim School – Old Mines 100th Anniversary Alumni Reunion Mass

Plans are being finalized for an all-school Alumni Reunion Mass and gathering to be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at St. Joachim parish in Old Mines. Activities include an open house and tour of St. Joachim School beginning around 2 p.m., Reunion Mass at 4 p.m. and gathering and dinner afterwards following by music on the lawn. Matt Pratt, a grade school alumnus class of ‘94 will be performing on the patio.

St. Joachim Catholic School opened in 1922 and continues to provide quality private education in the Old Mines community and Washington County. Father Mark G. Boyer, a St. Joachim High School graduate Class of 1968, will celebrate the Reunion Mass and will also be signing his latest book 300 Years of the French in Old Mines at the gathering afterwards.

Dinner will be provided by the Knights of Columbus Council #5936. Desserts will be provided by the St. Ann’s Sodality. A beer garden will be available for the gathering. In order to plan for the dinner, meal reservations are required and alumni should contact Kathy Coleman at wcoleman@centurytel.net or call Kathy at 636-586-5171 Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. -3 a.m. Meal reservations are $12.00 each. Deadline for meal reservations is June 2, 2022. Kathy will assist in completing your reservations.

The Reunion committee invites all former students who ever attended St. Joachim School

whether they have graduated or not to be a part of this memorable celebration. Later this year St. Joachim Parish will be celebrating 200 years as a Catholic parish and Old Mines (2023) will be celebrating 300 years since its early beginnings in 1723. Events are being planned for those historic celebrations as well.

There are alumni coming from as far away as Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Florida as well as local residents from surrounding communities.
