Seven Potosi FBLA Members Place At District Contest

POTOSI—Seven students from Potosi High School’s Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) placed in the District 12 Contest on February 19 at Mineral Area College.
Tyler Akers placed first in Word Processing; Devon Stefanko, Jay Douglas, and Jacob Crocker placed first in Broadcast Journalism; Tyler Akers, Hailey Fowler, and Logan Compton placed 2nd in Business Management; Allie Land placed second in Introduction to Business Communications and fifth in Introduction to Financial Math; and Logan Compton placed third in Introduction to Business Procedures.
Students who received first and second in a team event and students who placed in the top 5 in an individual event received medals.
Qualifying students will go on to compete at the state level in Springfield, MO on April 10-12.
“Congratulations to all the Potosi FBLA members who placed at districts! We are proud of your accomplishments,” said FBLA Advisor Jillian Portell.
