Esther June Dickinson

Esther June Dickinson of Mineral Point, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the age of 85. June, as family and friends knew her, was born on March 13, 1935 in Mitchell, Missouri, a daughter of the late Ralph and the Henrietta (Forrester) Smith.

On August 15, 1953 June was united in marriage to Donald R. Dickinson at Potosi First Assembly of God and they shared sixty-seven years together.

Those who remain to mourn her passing and cherish her memory include her husband, Don Dickinson; four children, Mary Pinson, Nova Drennen and husband Rick, Gary Dickinson and wife Loretta, Roger “Dink” Dickinson and wife Tammy; ten grandchildren, Amy Jo Pinson, Greg Dickinson and wife Pam, Matthew Dickinson and wife Ariel, Nikki Paul and husband Ethan, Ricky Drennen and wife Bobbi, Cody Dickinson, Devin Dickinson, Brittany Stinger and husband Josh, Ashley Dickinson and Ethan Dickinson; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Winnie McMahan. June is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her father and mother, June was preceded in death by her son, Donald “Duke” Dickinson; son-in-law, Joe Pinson; seven siblings, Juanita Sedgwick, Ruby Sago, Alberta Davis, Harvey Elbert Smith, Ralph Edward Smith, Earnest Smith and Lester Gene Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Virginia “Ma Gin” Dickinson.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday, October 19th from 9 to 11 a.m. at DeClue Funeral Home.

A funeral service to honor June was held on Monday, October 19th at 11 a.m. at DeClue Chapel officiated by Pastor Bob Adams.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
