Marilyn “Red” Ann Emily of Potosi was born June 2, 1945 in St. Louis, a daughter to the late Earl Joseph Bequette and Willammae (DeGeare) Bequette. Red departed this life Thursday December 2, 2021 having reached the age of 76 years and 6 months.
On June 24, 1965, Red was united in marriage to Wendelle Emily and they lovingly raised their children and shared 56 years together.
Red is survived by her loving husband, Wendelle; daughters, Cindy Hopple and husband Jess of Potosi, Kelley Wicker and husband Briant of Cadet; sons, Wendelle “Boo” Emily and wife Dawn of Cadet; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Red was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Bader; step sons, Rickey Emily and wife Penny, Joey Emily, Stevie Emily Sr. and grandsons, Joshua Wills and Stevie Emily Jr.
Red loved her family with all her heart. She loved working crossword puzzles, playing bingo and spending time with her family. She often worked around her home and enjoyed spending time outdoors camping. She supported her grandchildren in all that they did and she never missed any of their events, she loved to cheer them on. The loving memories she gave will be greatly treasured and she will be deeply missed.
Visitation was held Saturday, December 4th from 9 A.M.-12:30 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 4th at 12:30 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home with Father Rodger Fleming officiating.

Burial and final prayers took place at St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Robbie Wills, Clinton Wicker, Dustin Wicker, Brandon Emily, Boo Emily, Jess Hopple and Briant Wicker.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
