VILLAGE OF CALEDONIA’S BICENTENNIAL PUMPKIN FESTIVAL THIS Saturday, October 9th

The Village of Caledonia’s Pumpkin Festival Committee is hosting their 20th Annual Pumpkin Festival this weekend. The theme this year is “Missouri 2021 Bicentennial Pumpkin Fest”.
Main attractions will be artisans, crafters, and vendors from around the region, the mechanical bull on the fairway; bounce houses, petting zoo. Kids Games, Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.-12 Noon {the kids games are free to the kids}.

Chairperson Debra Bay is inviting everyone out for a day of good family fun with vendors, games, food, demonstrations, pony rides, mechanical bull, and much more.
The Saturday events will start at 10 A.M. with the traditional parade down Main Street (Hwy. 21) followed by vendors, crafters, food and games around the Village and in the Village Park. There will be sanitation stations and everyone is asked to maintain social distancing as much as possible.
PARADE LOCATION LINE UP: The parade this year will assemble and start from local resident Mike Green’s field on the North end of the Village; directly off Hwy. 21 (21805 S. State Hwy 21, Caledonia, MO) WATCH FOR SIGNS; PLEASE NOTE: PER THE PLANNING COMMITTEE -- this year NO CANDY IS ALLOWED TO BE THROWN OUT THRU THE PARADE. ONLY IF YOU HAVE WALKERS IN THE PARADE OR WITH A FLOAT CAN YOU DISTRIBUTE CANDIES AND HANDOUTS. The parade will be led by the local Sheriff and the VFW Members and Auxiliary, followed by floats, parade walkers, bikes & ATVs and horses. Parking will be North of the Village with tractor & wagon shuttles to the Village Park. There will Friday night activities with a street party and pumpkin recipe contest. Everyone is welcome . . . come out and spend the day at the historic Village of Caledonia.
