Joanna Coffman

Joanna Lynn Coffman of Potosi was born on January 19, 1965 in Bonne Terre, a daughter to Judy (Riddle) Coffman and the late Joseph Andrew “Andy” Coffman. Joanna passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her home, having reached the age of 56 years, 4 months and 24 days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her loving mother, Judy Coffman; daughter, Chelsey Booker (husband, Loren); bonus daughter, Kristi Thompson (husband, Derek); grandson, Jack Thompson who lovingly knew her as his Dough-Dough. Joanna is also survived by many cousins and extended family.

Joanna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andrew and Mary Coffman; Marvin and Bessie Riddle; her dad, Andy Coffman; and dear brother, Joseph Bryan Coffman; and the love of her life and father to her daughter, Kevin Kathcart.

Joanna was a selfless, kindhearted, and generous person. She was a hard worker and a talented floral designer and interior decorator. Most of the time, Jo would donate her services at no cost. Jo enjoyed her fun trips out west and loved seeing the dessert. Jo loved spending time with her family and and cherished the time she spent with Jack. Potosi has lost its most creative and eclectic entrepreneurial spirit. Fly away home, Jo, and decorate the Heavens.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 14th from 4 to 8 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home for a time of remembrance and celebration of her life.
