2nd Rounds of Virus Vaccine Begin . . . COUNTY EMERGENCY OPERATIONS DELIVERING VACCINE IN TIERS

February 24, 2021

Washington County Health Department, Washington County Ambulance District, Washington County Memorial Hospital, and Great Mines Health Center are continuing to work on the distribution of COVID-19 vaccine to Washington County and the surrounding area.

The second round of vaccinations happens this week for several people locally on Thursday and Friday.

Registrations continue to be taken at the Washington County Health Department for upcoming vaccination clinics. Everyone interested in the vaccine should go ahead and register.

The E.O.C. is required to work within the guidelines of the State of Missouri and has already been able to hold two clinics locally.

As the vaccine becomes available it is being provided to people as they qualify, through the State’s tier system.

The group encourages everyone that would like a virus vaccination to get pre-registered so that appointments can be made when available.

The County Health Department needs your contact information to be able to start the process as it moves forward.

The entire group with the E.O.C. (Emergency Operations Center) thanks everyone for their understanding and patience as this process is new and a ‘first’ for everyone involved.
