Potosi Correctional Center To Host Job Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 23rd

The Missouri Department of Corrections are looking for qualified employees for the Potosi Correctional Center. The positions include Correctional Officer I and Cook positions.

The ‘Job Fair’ will be held at the Potosi Correctional Center, at the newly established training center that is the building in front of the Center. The Job Fair is planned to begin at 10 a.m. and go through 2 p.m. Applicants can apply in person the day of the Job Fair or in advance at: doc.mo.gov/jobs.

On the site click ‘apply’ in the upper right corner of the page.

Click the arrow to the right side of ‘Facility’ and select Potosi Correctional Center - PCC” from the drop down list.

Select the position you are applying for from the list that appears on the left side of the page. The position description will open and then select ‘Apply to this position’.

Fill out the application and submit it.

The qualifications for Correctional Officers are:

Must be 19 years of age or older.

A year of verifiable work experience. (30 hours of earned college credits may substitute for the required work experience).

A Cook needs to be 18 years of age or older and have 6 months or more experience in commercial, industrial or institutional cooking. (15 hours of college credit in the areas of dietetics, nutrition, foods and nutrition, food service management or a closely related field may also qualify).
