From the April 18, 1950 Edition Clarence Smith Dies In Detroit, Michigan

Word came yesterday to relatives here informing them of the death of Clarence Smith in Detroit, Mich. on Monday night at 7:00. He had been ill several months from cancer. Burial will be in Detroit today (Thursday). Mr. Smith was born and reared in Potosi and was well known by everyone. His mother, Mrs. H. L. Smith left last Sunday for Detroit and reached his bedside a few hours before he died. Surviving are his widow Ruth, three sons and one daughter.
