‘The Lights of Christmas’ Theme – Potosi Christmas Parade is Dec. 1st
The annual Potosi Christmas Parade has been scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1st at 6:30 p.m. through ‘Downtown Potosi’.
The parade will line up at Casey Farm Road and Red Wing Shoe parking lot (parade participants are asked to stay to the South side of their parking lot as they have a night shift working. Cones and barricades will be in place for Red Wing employee parking.)
The parade will proceed East on High Street through Potosi and go to South Mine Street (left turn) and then disband at Jefferson Street and the Potosi High School parking lot area.
The theme for this year’s parade is ‘The Lights of Christmas’. A pretty broad stroke that will be interesting to see how everyone interprets it.
Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd for both Commercial and Civic/Religious divisions.
Remember, Santa already plans to be there so no Santa Claus characters on the floats are entries. Pre-registration is not required. Participants will line up from 5:30 on and parade starts at 6:30 p.m.
