Janet Lynne Smith

Janet Lynne Smith of Caledonia was born on October 31, 1951 in Potosi to James R. Smith and Ruby (Wilkerson) Smith. Janet departed this life on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Mercy Hospital- South, at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 8 days.

Janet was preceded in death by her father and step mother, James "Jim" and Verla Smith; mother and step father, Ruby and Bill Shaw; and three siblings, Mary Smith, Hunter Smith, Betty Giles.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her son, Isaac Barron (wife, Natalie); sister, Glenda Coleman; niece, Jeanie (Wayne) Brooks; nephews, Timothy (Kelly) Gibson, Matthew (Dana) Smith; and other nieces and nephews. Janet is also survived by life long friends, Glanda Wallace and Lois Smith; and good friend, Lavena Marshall.

Visitation was on Saturday, January 15th from 10:30 A.M. until the funeral service at 1 P.M. held at DeClue Funeral Home. Elder Leonard Compton officiated the service. Interment followed in the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
