19th Bi-State Band Festival Saturday, Oct. 9th in Potosi

Saturday, October 9th, 2021 the Potosi Trojan Marching Band will host the 19th Annual Bi-State Marching Inviational in Downtown Potosi and at Potosi High School’s Trojan Field, behind the Junior High.

The Bi-State Marching Invitational begins Saturday morning at 9 a.m. as the Potosi High School Marching Trojans lead off the parade line-up.

The schedule includes:

Potosi (Exhibition) at 9 a.m.

9:05 a.m. = Steelville

9:10 a.m. = Bourbon

9:15 a.m. = St. Francis Borgia

9:20 a.m. = Herculaneum

9:25 a.m. = St. Clair

9:30 a.m. = Sullivan

The parade route begins at Lawrence Street and goes through Downtown Potosi to the High School.

Parade Classes are 2A - Bourbon, Steelville and Herculaneum; 3A - St. Francis Borgia, St. Clair and Sullivan

The field show schedule begins with Potosi Brass Sextet playing the National Anthem at 10:45 a.m.

Owensville will perform at 11 a.m.; Grandview takes the field at 11:15 a.m.; Anna Jonesboro marches at 11:30 a.m.; Liberty steps off at 11:45 a.m.; Mehlville takes the field at 12 noon; St. Francis Borgia marches at 12:15 p.m.; Thayer performs at 12:30 p.m.; Houston marches at 12:45 p.m. and Parkway West closes the first segment at 1 p.m.

The Bi-State Parade Awards will be given at 1:20 p.m. at the Grand Stand. Only Directors and Bands will participate as all parents and spectators will be excused after the conclusion of the St. Charles West performance.

The second group includes Salem performing at 2 p.m.; Jefferson City marching at 2:15 p.m.; Murphysboro performs at 2:30 p.m.; Central (P.H.) marches at 2:45 p.m.; Parkway North performs at 3 p.m.; Poplar Bluff takes the field at 3:15 p.m.; DeSoto marches at 3:30 p.m.; Farmington performs at 3:45 p.m.; Battle marches at 4 p.m. and Sullivan is on the field at 4:15 p.m.

Awards will be given at approximately 4:40 p.m.

The finals will begin at 6 p.m. and go through approximately 8:30 p.m. Performances on 15 minute intervals.
