Pamela “Pam” Courtaway of Potosi, was born January 21, 1959 in St. Louis, a daughter to the late James Edward Courtaway and Mayme Cornelia (Merseal) Courtaway. Pam departed this life Thursday, September 9, 2021 having reached the age of 62 years, 7 months and 19 days.

Pam is survived by her sisters, Kim Dickey and husband Kent of Potosi, Tina Courtaway of Cadet; nieces and nephews, Scotti Jo (Keith) Willis of Blackwell, Erin (Chris) Pashia of Cadet, Krystal (Joe) Baxter of St. Clair, Kyle (Tiffani) Dickey of High Ridge, Staff Sergeant Ryan (Allison) Dickey of Clinton; great nieces and nephews, Cody, Trae, Quinten and Bella Pashia, Madi, Landen and Eva Baxter, Madelyn and Marlee Dickey; great great niece, Stella Pashia and many other relatives an friends.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her brother, David Courtaway.

Pam had a big heart and loved helping others. She was a master of crocheting and loved making afghans and necklaces for her friends and family. She liked to play Bingo, go shopping with her co-workers, bowling, and go out to eat. She competed in the Special Olympics and could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Her family was most important to her and her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy. She will forever be remembered for her love and brilliant smile. She will be missed by all the lives she touched.

Visitation for Pamela was held Monday, September 13th from 4-8 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 14th at 10 A.M. at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines.

Burial and final prayers took place at St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Zach Merseal, Ryan Dickey, Kent Dickey, Trae Pashia, John Reeves, Terry Kavanaugh and honorary pallbearers Keith Willis and Landan Baxter.
